Men and women, to cook or not to cook

I currently cook for my family.
What is there?

Nothing.
What is annoying is the arguments going on about who
women should be and who they should not be.

I am watching Akah Bants channel.
He's analyzing the tradition of kneeling down before proposing or not.

The hero of 'Things Fall Apart', Pete Edochie says that he is not going to kneel down for his wife ever
That all the guys kneeling for ladies are all fools.

Just imagine the different archaic comments all over the internet.

The excuses of not adopting the white man's culture.

In my opinion, the older generation as much as we need their oversight and direction sometimes overdo it.
This conversation about cooking et al is one of those times.

The great thing is that every marriage has the choice of being run by the two people in the marriage and not by rules and regulations made by the locality and community.

Analyzing old people with their marriage:

Old people marriage:

  • There is a lot of deception, and old ideas
  • The men cheat, like it is their right
  • They sleep with house girls
  • Sometimes don't provide for their families
  • Threaten to sleep with people's siblings/cousins
  • They have rights to cheating
  • The women are sad/frustrated and because a lot of time are financially incapable, they can't do anything about it
  • They are miserable
New People Marriage:
  • More honesty
  • The wife will not tolerate cheating
  • A wife will hardly threaten to sleep with a man's brother/cousin
  • Women provide for their families
  • They are financially capable
  • There is no frustration because there are agreements
  • They buy food if they want to, they can afford it
