Favor isn't fair.

Camp is for change, it is also for seeming difficult poses. Focusing on the right things at camp can change your mind (to repent) and make difficult things easy.

If you contact the Holy Ghost by chance, its like meeting the sceptre of God, you will be able to change anything. If you are able to maintain a relationship with the Holy Ghost after camp, you will not only make immense profit, you will have undeniable peace to witness to your world about Jesus Christ.

Whatever you want at camp, you will get. You just have to settle down and think about what you want, write it down and ask God for it at camp meeting.

You might ask why camp?

Well, because many of us are distracted, busy, occupied and at camp, its like a holy time, when I say holy, I mean it is a time set aside unto God, we have picked this time and said, it is for God. Endeavor to make sure it is for God in mind and in body.

It is four days to camp. All I can say is make sure you enjoy camp, don't strive or struggle; just be conscious that God is there for you are camp meeting.

I always say: If God has stuff for only ten people, I am one of the ten, If he has for only one, I will be that One. Cos I have the favor of God. My sister's favorite phrase is 'favor aint fair'! In college, I used to say, I may not deserve it but you have reserved it. I take what you have reserved in Jesus name, amen.

Truth:
The truth is, I have not deserved a lot of the things I have received or do receive on a daily basis, but I always live conscious of a God who wants to give me everything I require, He doesn't want me to struggle either so I pray, Lord, help me stand out amongst a million people, I may not be the best but I will be favored because God favours me. God has honored me. This has helped me build my trust in Him. He keeps   His word and encourages me to do same (As I am able!).

Sometimes, you need to relax and let God favor you, if you have to work for everything in life, you may not be able to achieve all your dreams, sometimes you can just say: Lord give me divine acceleration, cause me to stand before kings, to have favor in the sight of the men that matter. Cause me to stand out amongst millions in Jesus name, amen.

The amazing thing is that God has something for everyone, do give him the time of the day.

Most of all, during camp, seek His face and He will come to you. As for me, I am seeking His face also!

Heart check!

Usually preparation for camp was prayer, consecration and list of the things I wanted God to do for me.

I will be doing that this year also
But considering myself grown up, I will also be asking God for a list of things, I don't know how many that I will do for God.

So with all the campaign
I want to prepare myself and my heart

Also making it a point of duty to walk in love, pursue peace
Manifest the fruit of the Spirit
Desire to conform the image of Christ
etc

I gotta go!

See you tomorrow, no pics today.

Building up...

Just got back from Ajao
I'd be kidding If I told you that I have the whole picture of what I am doing in Ajao
But I guess that is what faith is; what walking by faith is.
I can't see the complete picture

I have some struggles
because I see amongst us our weakness so clearly
I have travelled that road so I know when you alienate a person
It is more difficult to reach them even with the word

I am  doing my best to love everyone, honestly I am not trying too hard
Lest I come across as fake
I am just hanging out there so that if there is an opportunity for God to use me
to speak words that would set another free, it will come up

I am just being me, doing what I love and hanging out with peeps
I am learning to overlook faults, go with the flow and stick with God's will
Obeying His instructions and still working according to what He has called me to do
Sometimes they are easy and sometime they are difficult but it is one more footstep
in the direction of destiny.

Two random guests.
Camp Meeting is going to be great!

Wrote this for a job interview in 2007

An enemy of the ordinary is a person who thinks outside the box and gives spectacular solutions to problems. Such individuals rise above the expectations they set for themselves, the expectation others set for them and go the extra mile to be extraordinary.

Ordinary people abound but the fewer extraordinary people detest mediocrity, break protocol and rules and come up with mind blowing answers to problems. They stand out (just added the last three words)

Example: Bukky and Onome are given similar assignments: to think up a small business that will make profit in a short time, Bukky comes up with the idea of selling corporate gifts , while Onome comes up with the idea of opening a car wash.

When the time limit for the assignments are up, Onome ends up making almost three times Bukky's profit. While Bukky sold her corporate gifts to upper class clients, Onome's car wash was open to all and she added a small incentive of a free gift anytime a client used her car wash and the cars were washed by young and attractive females and males. While both idea's were terrific, Bukky was thinking like a regular entrepreneur while Onome was thinking like a dynamic entrepreneur because she was thinking of raising her sales.

To be the enemy of the ordinary, aside the wonderful qualities you need to possess, you must think on your feet, be creative and open to change.

NOW

I ask myself: Do I think on my feet? When the occasion arises, I do.
Am I creative? Yeah, I breathe creativity.
Am I open to change? I doubt it. I think I am acting like a cement rock.
Thinking....

God was and is still my provision!!!

Monica and I, we are like sisters, she encourages me and I do same for her.

Okay I promised to say my testimony from college. In my final year, I had a spill over and unknown to me, my dad got retired and so there wasn't any money and I had to choose between waiting a year and going back to school that year with nothing. I had no money  ,no way to get money  scratch that, I had started making hats in my final year for fun. But that was God's way of sustaining me in that year, if I wanted to eat, I would have to work first. Those were the days I learnt to believe God for provision but if I didn't make any money I would go to bed hungry. God came through a lot of times and I learnt to hear the Spirit of God's direction.

My sister was working in Yaba at the time so I used to go home with her. One particular day, a friend came across me and told me she would be going home that weekend that I should go with her, my proud self declined and told her, no thanks, I will go with my sis, I will just wait till 5 pm. She went and came several times till I agreed to go home with her. On getting home, I discovered that my sister was having a meeting in Ikeja, I would have been seriously stranded for like the first time in my life.

When I moved back to school, I had only two pair of jeans and maybe three tops, it was like poverty came on me suddenly, I had a lot of clothes just the semester before then, my self esteem was shot to pieces, I was sad and ever having a 'pity party'. I was staying with some girls out of having nowhere to stay. One night after I had been starving for 4 days, Ifeanyi (one chic like that, very good friend) came to buy me dinner at SUB, as we walked down towards church, someone jumped at me and hugged me tight, saying 'Where have you been hiding in this school?' insisting that I must move in with her. I was going to hurriedly say hi and rush away but she was making all sorts of offers. I couldn't be an ungrateful person to my previous host so i told her to let me finish out the semester (2 weeks) and then I would move to her room.

Needless to say, I was very glad but did not remember to thank God at midnight (at the time I had a midnight quiet time). I moved in with her (her name is Ena and we became friends in Year 1) and she gave me about 10 tops I wore on my pairs of jeans, I was so happy and my new room mates nurtured me, till I looked good again, at least passable. They made sure I didn't go hungry or feel uncomfortable asking for things, they never waited for me to ask. They ate my food with me and made sure I ate their food with them. My hungry days in school were over.

Only God could have done this, Unilag girls are not known for being nice so for 6 girls to be nice, that was just God. They were a covering for me. I became a part of their family. They never even complained about me praying at night, ironic that in the Christian room they had a problem with it. These girls who were from Christian homes but hadn't made a decision let me pray to my heart's delight.

Partly because some girl had tried to initiate them into a mammy water cult the semester before, a situation that called for all the parents to gather in school to pray for their daughters and the mammy water girl moved to another room sha!

Pretty long!
So long, tomorrow, I will share something, I am not sure what yet.

My race of life!

What is she looking at?
Okay I am asking what I am looking at right?
I am looking and the sun and thinking how its attributes resemble the son
I promised a t-shirt pix, ta da!

Not so nice
But the best I can come up with at such short notice
I am handy with a camera and I am going to be taking so many pics, many heads will spin.

I am set to go to camp
Yeah, right.
Tomorrow, I will be posting more camp pics and of course telling one of my testimonies from back in college.
Tis where I learn endurance and perseverance and resilience

I believe that nothing can hold me down
because I have the life of God in me

Yes, I have been depressed before, gotten a lot of hard knocks
you'll hear tomorrow how I overcame
But it was mostly because I believed that Jesus was whom He said He was.
That was my greatest strength

She's set to go, to run her race, to make great iMpact.
I'm counting down to camp
It is in 23 days time!!!

Yield...learn it!

"In Him was light and the light was the life of men..." (Somewhere in the book of John 1)

Camp is here again!

I can't say that I haven't become jaded.
I am just hoping that in spite of my jadedness the Spirit of God can become new to me again, as new as He was to me the first time I met Him. That I can put away all of the stuff that distracts and focus on the God who is speaking always and saying 'attend to my word...'

I read some part of Proverbs 2 and I realized that I needed the wisdom of God again. I am tired of playing church, doing as you should, so busy always doing my duty that there is no time to relate with God. And all the relating I do with other people is not benefiting my life as I would benefit if I gave that much time to relating with God. Well I pray that those four days will truly be separated to God and not to duty.

That said, I am excited, t-shirt wearing begins on Tuesday so chances are that you will see me wearing my t-shirt and gearing myself up to work on the fruit of the Spirit, how have I been doing so far, at least I remember that there is such a thing as the fruit of the Spirit, as soon as I get that covered, I will be walking in the Spirit.

Hate jokes, especially when it aint funny. Second thing is that I actually am funny so maybe its a superiority complex but nah, I don't think so, I did away with that when I got born again.

Cheerio
See you Tuesday\
I should be wearing a T-shirt look then.

Imma blog everyday for 30 days at least... #GI13

Camp is time with God...
See example below

One of the nights at Audacious 2012

More than that it is time with family and friends, it is little of work, but it is more about the word and the ministrations. There's music, dance, there's song, there is ministrations of the Spirit. As far as I am concerned, everywhere in ASCON is just holy when camp meeting is going on. It is why God goes to wait for us at camp. I have been going to camp since 2006, I think.

It is just awesome, I will say some more tomorrow
The logo for this year's camp is GREAT IMPACT.
What will the Holy Ghost do with that?
I await His mind.

#GI13
Wonder what kind of impact would be made this year?
2013 is still budding!
I am dreaming and achieving!

Me: About to enter March. Yay!

I am a total bookworm
unrepentant one at that.
I can pass anything for a really good book
I can even pass up a smart party for a good book
conclusion: I am a bookworm

the flip side is that i am a terrific writer
when i can get myself to be disciplined
I wonder what this week has for me?
I hope I can bring out all of the things in me
this week...

Here I come!

Nothing random about this sunday...

I am liking @jamiegraceh songs and her talks online.

Courtesy Wikipedia

When she is talking, my soul is at rest, I can identify with her relationship with her father. I am not that fluent with the Holy Spirit as she is, but I am going to get there.

I just need to fix my priorities and realize that no matter if I have a hundred things to do, God should be my #1. Yeah!

My family is beautiful and good. God is taking us to good places, I love what I am seeing.

I am one of those crazy people that sees further than the ordinary eye, I see like God. I can look at a thing and see the potential, what it could be, I think some people call it vision. I am like my Father, I can call out life from seeming dead situations. I can see something seeming ordinary and see what God could make of it; some folks call that Christian.

Well long and short of it all, I am a new creation in Christ Jesus and all them new things are of God, I am seeing the new things. Not worshiping like I used to but I will get there because that is the secret of my creativity, God is, i mean!

I have lain fallow for too long when I was created to brood and create great things. I am on my way somewhere good, let's see how this week goes!

Also dropping weights, this week, I will be dropping procrastination and also checking that I treat people the way God would. I want to manifest the fruit of the spirit, not one left out.

Goal of February: To be conformed to the image of Christ!

Principles, principles...

When I was in high school, I used to think that principles were do good, don't do bad
Make a habit of doing good and it is.

In college, I started learning about spiritual principles

First one off: "Seek the kingdom..."
Follow the words of Jesus, do them and live by them, like my most difficult 'loving your enemies' but not as difficult as 'praying for them who despitefully use you'. There are others like going the extra mile, just do them okay, Jesus knows what He is talking about.

Second one: "The seed principle"
Everything begins with a seed, Jesus had to die to produce us, God gave Jesus so that He could have us (if you have joined the reborn folks), whatever you will do will start as a seed, God believes in the seed principle so much He practices it, I believe in the seed principle also.

\I pick things from different places, I have a short attention span so it is not everything that I hear, I can be hearing so many things and suddenly I hear something that makes me stop and think, it catches my attention.
This day, this man was speaking and he talked about lesser truths and greater truths. He said that greater truths supersede the lesser truths and I believe it.

I am the kind of Christian who does not believe in fighting about Paul, Cephas and Apollos, I honor all men of God and I leave them to the One who sent them. Because I honor them all, I am able to learn from them and pick the hay and leave the sticks, I also am able to give them the grace that God has given me. Well he talked about greater truth. So if you have a scripture speaking something concerning any situation that you want to pray about, the sensible thing is to go for the greatest truth. Don't stop and say, O see what happened to Job, that is my portion, you should search and see what happened to Jesus or John the beloved. Don't presume to know the mind of God, search the scriptures and get that truth.

Love Day

I don't want lecture
We all know that love is to be expressed 365 days
But a chance to dress up
It is difficult for girls to pass it by.

Happy Vals Day
Have good clean fun
Enjoy the day, it is just like all the other three hundred and something more to come
Funtastic if you decide that it will be so

The country is red
It is colored red
All I want is a soak in the tub with a Genevieve Magazine
To satisfy my literary work.

What can I say?
Have fun folks

For those who read and don't comment like cousin dearest
God is watching you!
(This is the first time I am using this phrase)

I am going to have fun, party and get home for 9pm
to reflect on the day, the fun that I had and walking in love
365 days

So so excited...

Okay!
#2013 Goals
One is about to be accomplished

I pray for God's grace and favour.
I pray for God's peace and rest in me
So I can put my best leg forward and just
say the right things.

A chance to grow
and be all the best I can be
and use everything that God has given me
To create things that have never existed before
Out of my imagination.

I have the craziest imagination on the planet
I pray I give it free rein and make my 2013
one to remember with fond memories
when i am 95.

And schooling my grandkids on how to rule the world
'Just read your bible in the morning and in the night'

Its as simple as that.

'I am confident that I can swim with the sharks'
I have got the Holy Ghost after all!

New Schedule though:
1. Work article for the week.
2. Social media concept to answer needs
3. Write write write
4. Answer questions
5. Meditate on scriptures

Simple enough abi
Now just to keep to it!!!

It matters...

You don't really believe in something until it runs your life. What you believe controls your life.

I really believe in Jesus Christ and His word and His holy Spirit
and He controls my life.
I believe I am led by the Spirit of God.

I am just not sure of what I am doing at this point in time, don't get me wrong, I have a plan I am on right now. I am just not sure if that is the same plan that God has for me.

I must have a clear picture of where I am going and right now, what I see physically is pretty shaky. Is it worth all the stress? and the emotion? and the talkings?
What is everything really worth?

I don't mean in the public eye, I mean behind the scenes, is what I do really worth it? Would God be proud of it? Is it worth my lifeblood?

I feel like I have been playing a charade and yet there is God here.
I am not quite sure what the answer is, but I know that God will lead, He hasn't failed me before.
He will lead
And I will follow

Something true...

Ivan Fernandez Anaya is a hero. Maybe not in the eyes of the media but in my dictionary, he is.

Here's his blog site Ivan Fernandez Anaya
Go and get the full story there. It is a very noble act.

In the light of Lance Armstrong recent confession on Oprah's show that is causing such a hullabaloo  Ivan stands out as a man who carried out a kind gesture even though he could have won at all costs. This is the spirit of sportsmanship and likely the spirit of Christ. He put the needs of the Kenyan man who was black ahead of himself.

He could have been dog-eat-dog but he wasn't, he could have been racist but he wasn't. This is very admirable!
He is only 24 years old but it is not difficult to get a picture of the kind of man he will become, I don't mind my brother and male cousins emulating him. He is noble. Nobility is a virtue to be cultivated, if you don't believe, go read Philippians 4:8.

I followed him on blogger and sent him a note on Facebook, just being me jare!!!

I read 21 of them. I don't feel so terrible anyway, to kill a mocking bird was half finished because the owner wanted his book back. I heard it is very interesting sha, I might buy it online, though. A lot of these English novels are satanic! Or rather their writers are professed satanists. You know I like books a lot so I read my sisters literature book (she studied English so she has lots of books I read when I wasn't working) I was shocked to find that one of my favourite writers (Nora Roberts was a satanists) I promptly stopped reading her books. Stephen King is one, I never even liked him anyway, I hate horror stories. The closest I came to reading horror was Dean Koontz probably an alias.

So I just might not read all of them. I will read some sha. A lot of them were even boring!

The land is green!

The land is green abi?
It's 2013

The year is looking bright for me
A lot of exciting things are happening.

I have done a training. Succeeded in scheduling one for each month so I am committed to developing me career wise, I still am not disciplined in writing every single day. I am going to try to write today sha even if I am tired and if I can't use the laptop, I will use the writing pad and biro at the foot of my bed, so you see I am doing everything necessary to make sure I write.

I am sourcing for a prayer partner who knows that praying is more than just opening your mouth and talking to God, she's female and she's discrete and of course we go to different churches so the chances of conflict arising is that 'little bit' smaller.

I am still waiting to start my businesses, two of them, if it doesn't kick off in January, then it would be February, I want to be responsible the American way. They leave home at 18 you, know. I had bigger dreams for myself. They are still big anyway, I just didn't meet my deadline but I am back on track and I am needing the help of God and the help of the Holy Spirit more.

Those dreams I could achieve myself but the newer dreams, I can only do with the power of God. I notice that I need a little impulsiveness and gusto of the younger me, and less cockiness but a settledness (Is that a word?). Whatever, I want to live my dreams and feel the fulfillment of a life that does more than only what it is told. Where is the innovation?

Whatever, I'm glad I could write something from my heart and not a bunch of rules/new year resolutions or cut and dried stuff; this actually feels alive. I think I have been writing rubbish since.

I want to out dream myself and out-do myself...more later

(Now to connect this stuff so that I can blog from my phone....going going)

N.B. I admire all those old ladies who are intercession peeps, they intercede so much I imagine their face begins to glow from being in the presence of God so much and they have so much understanding and I think it is peace written boldly on their faces. I want to do that some time, participate in intercession, I mean.

My Christmas post...

Lara is having a Christmas giveaway... I pray I win.
I want the shoes but I am not sure about my shoe size. I wear a Nigerian size 39. I don't know what my UK or American size should be. If you know, please holla me.

My new blog is here but i wanted it to be diaryofa21stcenturywoman but it is more about my Christian life than about swag. Give a witness if you know that sometimes you have to give up swag for Christianity. Yay!

So during the service today we were asked to write out our plans and all I can think about is my spiritual goals. It is the same as it was in 2008 but in practice I am sure it would be different.
I am reading two books before the end of 2012.

I am adjust my blog site so that I can post from my blackberry and no I don't add people on social networks to my Blackberry Family, it would spiral my direction out of position and it is my desire to be positioned right always so I guard my associations carefully.

Let me share my spiritual goals:

2 Peter 1:5
...add to your faith:

*Goodness
*Knowledge
*Self-control
*Patience
*Service for God (faithfulness)
*Kindness
*Love

If all these things are in you and are growing, they will help you to be useful and productive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So Merry Christmas and have a terrific New Year filled with everything good!

Liebster Award

Ms. Sykik did not give me the Liebster award, I saw it on Hannah's blog and decided to do it because I like these kinds of stuffs. So below are the questions I got.

1.            When was the last time a guy hit on you?
Isn't that a constant K, I live in Lagos, if a girl is pretty you hit on her and see what she says. That is practically everyday so long as you're out.

2.            Who is your favourite blogger and why? ( Any answer different from my name is not allowed)
My favorite blogger is Miss brown. She's retired from blogging, her display of true emotions were too too vivid.

3.            What does the term “life and living” mean to you?
Life means zoe. Since I know what you mean, for me life is bring with family and friends and living my dreams, that is a perfect world; not there yet but I have not given up. I choose to do more than exist. I choose to live the best life there is by the grace of God.

4.            What’s your most prized possession?
I don't have a car yet or a house, my most prized possession is my blackberry, with it I connect to the world, I do business and ministry; I stay connected to my friends who live far away.

5.            How do you unwind?
I read. I watch a movie. I take a bath, dress up, make up and just feel good about myself.
I am not tagging anyone. No questions from me.

"Christian": What it means to me!

2 Peter 1:5-9

Amplified Bible (AMP)
For this very reason, [a]adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in [b]exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence),
I am not as diligent as I used to be but that glimpse of diligence shows up from time to time. I want to bear rule, it is my desire to reign and to rule on this earth so diligence is it. I exercise my faith when my back is "to the wall". I am sure Jesus would love me to exercise my faith everyday. Have I developed intelligence? I don't think so, that is just a gift from God because of my idiosyncrasies i guess, I love to read so I am always getting new information whether I want to or not.
And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety),
Yeah, I have self control, I have had more than enough reason to lose my self-control and I held on to it with all that I had in me, because of God's scheme of things; whatever that may mean. I do have patience and endurance; I had to develop it, i honestly had no choice, if I did; i probably would have remained a spoilt brat but God took me by the hand on this walk and I went with Him kicking and screaming (Wide smile, submission is not easy o, even to God) at first but now I am willing to go the distance, what is the use of living a stupid life, with no purpose? Yeah, you got it!
And in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love.
Holiness, that is a gift from God to me, if my mind had a choice, it would probably run wild but I have it on a leash. Brotherly affection, I am on and off. Christian love, let me put it like this, I am willing to love, even though half the time, I want to kick their butts and tell them, I am sure I am better at this than you but I know that but for His grace, I would be only what a lunatic can imagine, God has got my back o!
For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep [you] from being idle or unfruitful unto the [[c]full personal] knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
The qualities are mine, are they abounding, only the Holy Ghost knows that. I want to let loose almost all the time and do whatever the heck I feel like. Am I idle and unfruitful? Sometimes, when I don't think it is all worth it, there is so much in me to birth and I just pray that the Holy Ghost helps me and keeps me strong to accomplish His purpose for me.
For whoever lacks these qualities is blind, [[d]spiritually] shortsighted, [e]seeing only what is near to him, and has become oblivious [to the fact] that he was cleansed from his old sins.
My old man is dead. I need to remind myself all the time that the old man is dead, no matter how I feel or act sometimes, I know that man is dead and it is the new man that is operating in me.
That's it!
Yay, it is Christmas, I am excited when I think I can travel and go visit my sister, her husband and her son (He's more my nephew sha). He says hello now. I am so excited just to hear Him speak. If I don't travel this Christmas, God knows I will just be buying unending credit....
No pixes....................
