I just googled this word and it should describe me if I am in the flesh.
Am I in the flesh? No. I usually feel like this after I have won a major battle and I have won one even my flesh doesn't feel like it. My spirit is alive to the truth.
Meditation Scripture:
John 4: 14But whoever drinksthe water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life.”
37On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and called out in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38To the one who believes in Me, it is just as the Scripturehas said: ‘Streams of living water’” will flow from within him. 39He was speaking about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. For the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.…
Water: The Holy Ghost
There are some things that are absolutes to me.
I love God. I love my job, I love my family.
I know about God's endtime agenda. Because I am conscious I am dangerous to the kingdom of darkness and satan is my enemy.
I have a conquering spirit. I conquer because Jesus conquered.
The enemy uses petty people and to win I must walk in the Spirit (that thing that the church needs to learn that I learned 16 years ago). When I walk in the Spirit I am above all that are in the flesh including the devil. When I view this world from the earth, do you know that it is pointless, the vanity in all that we consider important.
But I don't view the world from the earth, afterall I am not from here, I am located in heaven, seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenlies at the right hand of God.
I always find meaning in the word of God, that quick, sharper than a two edged sword word that divides between soul and spirit.
Ponderings
No one ever tells you that fame is a trap. The only time it isn't a trap is when it is God given (his legendary promise to make Abraham famous, I don't think I am famous yet, God is still starting with me) and even then you get haters (people whom devil has given assignment, they are too busy about your life, they have no time to live their own) simply by having some claim to fame. I believe that fame doesn't matter if you don't use it as an opportunity to serve others and speak for those who can't speak for themselves. True service is one in which you are not serving self. Only you know when you are serving God and serving self.
I am grateful for 30 minutes where I don't have to think about the ones who hate for no reason.
I have been asking God and the answer I got is that hate goes along with favour. There are just too many people that will always be pissed that you get things so easy. It's not fair, its favour.
Hate is damaging not just to the one hating but to the ones who get affected by the hate.
I have had so much opportunity to turn to hate in the last 15 years, so much, but even under pressure my heart knows it must choose love. I love still. I don't even need any encouraging quotes to choose love. Just the thought of having to pretend all day everyday is scary enough for me to choose. What kind of life is that having to pretend everyday that you love someone you don't and then pretending to God and grieving the Holy Ghost? No, not for me. I would rather hurt, forgive and keep loving.
No revenge for me. Revenge isn't sweet. It's manifesting the traits of the enemy. I am not his seed so I can't hate. I am the seed of God.
My love may be criticized but I must still gently remind that the One who has the right to criticize my love is the one who got it right, Jesus. Yet He doesn't. Instead He supports me. Leads me, builds me, directs my life and always instructs me.
I am like a grizzly bear right now so I am not talking much, don't need to erupt at people that are not in my close circle.
My heart bleeds for the body of Christ. They learn the secrets of the kingdom and can't use it for good. I begin to understand why Jesus prayed that they may be one and you and I are (Jesus was praying for unity as the Father and Him were). Man (and woman) are the most contentious beings on earth, and even though they don't have claws, they find any and every reason to make war with each other. Even though the Spirit should rule, the flesh takes the win almost every time.
Today I am learning old lessons, it has been 16 years since I received Christ and I find that the oldest lessons I got in the first year still serve me better than religion (the obedience of endless rules and regulations that don't give life but make people predisposed to bondage), I return to the first lessons again. The worst bondage will be to be in a circle that believe in the existence of a static God who does nothing, is blind and knows not how to judge justly. It is primitive.
It is primitive abi and yet I am not modern.
The heading on my bible is "Keep your freedom". It is apt. I need my liberty more than anything else, I refuse to be in bondage in any area of my life. It is for freedom that Christ made me free...
Gal 5:1
We have freedom now because Christ made us free. So stand strong. Do not change and go back into the slavery of the law.
So the Spirit does set free. From what, you may wonder. The law was a slave master. It kept the people reined in and yet never perfected them. It couldn't. It was made to show man his frailty and how without depending on God man could not win over sin.
Gal 5:4
"If you try to be made right with God through the law, your life with Christ is over - you have left God's grace".
God's grace set man free to be in God's presence again. God's grace gave man redemption and recompense and restoration in Christ Jesus. To leave grace is to depend on your works which even if you are perfectly good 24/7/365 days cannot produce justification before God.
You might not understand the importance of not being in slavery...
Galatians 4:28-30, 31
"My brothers and sisters, you are God's children because of His promise as Isaac was then. The son who was born in the normal way treated the other son badly. It is the same today. But what does the scripture say? 'Throw out the slave woman with her son. The son of the slave woman should not inherit anything. The son of the free woman should receive it all''.
Those in slavery to the law have no inheritance in Christ Jesus even if they keep the law 100% perfectly. If you read my earlier post you can understand that the children of Israel operated under the blessing because of the promise that God made to Abraham. Abraham receive the promise not by obeying the law (Abraham lived before the dispensation of the law. The law came with Moses) but by believing the promise of God.
Those who believe like Abraham are heirs according to the promise.
The access Christians have to Abraham is Christ (not obedience of a set of rules and regulations). Scriptures say, if ye be Christ, then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. This is the right to the privileges of redemption. Redemptive rights are yours by virtue of belonging to the Christ. You can obey rules for 24 years but if you don't believe that God wants to do you good all of the time the enemy will strip you of confidence when you need it most.
"So, my brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman"
Paul was speaking to Galatians who had been born again yesterday, 5 months ago, 5 years ago, the factor was not time but the knowledge that they are accepted in Christ Jesus. Not that they are accepted by Christians but that they are accepted by Christ in the beloved.
Galatians 5:16
"So I tell you: Live following the Spirit. Then you will not do what your sinful selves want. Our sinful selves want what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is against our sinful selves. The two are against each other, so you cannot do what you please. But if the Spirit is leading you, you are not under the law"
Not many people preach about live following the Spirit. The bible is clear on this. It says live in obedience to the Holy Ghost. Then you will not do what your sinful selves want.
This means that you will have the power to do the right thing at all times if you are following the direction of the Holy Ghost who knows all things. It says that the flesh and the spirit are against each other. So you cannot do what you please.
He says that if the Spirit is leading you, you are not under the law.
What does being under the law mean?
Please understand that there is nothing wrong with the law. It is just that the law could not please God. So I am not bad mouthing the law and saying that sin is acceptable to God.
To live under the law is to live under the curse. There were 600-something of these curses so breaking one of them meant operating under a curse (read Deuteronomy 28, it is one scary chapter to know that this is the list of rules and regulations given to the Jews and they failed over and over again so of course it could not perfect them). To be living under grace is to operate under the blessing.
Go and read Genesis to understand how Abraham lived with God under grace without obeying the rules and regulations but living acknowledging the covenant he had with the God who called him out of Haran to a strange land that He would show him.
Grace: being empowered to prosper
Curse: being empowered to fail
Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Gal 3:13
Christ hath (a done deal) redeemed us from the curse, being made a curse for us (substitution) because it is written (in the Jewish law) cursed is every man that hangeth on a tree, that the blessing of Abraham might rest upon us through faith.
The blessing can only be transferred to gentiles by faith (by believing because our bloodline is not the bloodline of the Jews but by believing in Jesus we inherit his bloodline and his promise).
My bible puts it this way, Galatians 3: 14b ...Jesus died so that by our believing we could receive the Spirit that God promised. This speaks of the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit.
Get this, obeying the rules and regulations of the Jewish law is not faith.
Yet the bible says that the just shall live by faith.
By believing what?
By believing Jesus Christ.
So what do we do? Walk in the Spirit.
We are not called to obey the commandments. We are called to walk in love.
The bible teaches that if we love our neighbor, we will not murder him, steal from him, lie about him, bear false witness etc...
The law of love covers the old testament over and above in fact it is impossible to do it without depending on the Holy Spirit for help but this is the gospel of the kingdom.
