#60ReasonsWhyYahooIsBad on Nigeria's 60th Birthday #NigerianIndependenceDay + letting go of some of my pain

I work with a laptop.

Sometimes I don't have light so I join some of the small businesses in the area and share their electricity.

Several times other young people have asked if I do yahoo.

Former acquaintances have even spread rumours that I do yahoo. Some of those who are the most vengeful people on the planet are people who used to know you but never had good intentions towards you.

It hurt.

David's quote from the psalms comes to mind.

Psalm 41:9

Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.

It hurt me.

Why?

1. They never reached out to help me out of a tough time.
2. They made the time even tougher by spreading rumours that I am involved in yahoo.

I finally believe that there are no permanent friends only people with common interests.

I forgive them.
May God forgive them.

I will recover.

I always feel disgusted when I am asked this question.

The yahoo question.

This is because I think, why is it hard for them to assume that I am running my business.

Why is the first thing that comes to the mind of Nigerians yahoo?

Why can't Nigerians take advantage of opportunities when they show up? Why do they prefer easy money to money that they can work for?

Why do they prefer BBN shows to opportunities to get grants to start small businesses? (Holla at me on 08130800741 if you are interested. Send a text, I will call you).

Yahoo/419 refers to fraudulents acts carried out by Nigerian or African or American/UK citizens using aliases.

Fraud has always existed, some Nigerians escalated it.

Other African countries, and Europe and American scam artists now craft stories about the African Prince who wants to sell a Nigerian landmark etc.

My encounter with the negative effects of 419 come when I have to proof myself like hundred times before someone does business with me. For others it is when they are on a line travelling out of the country and they are called aside and their luggages are searched because they have a green passport.

Let's pick 60 reasons because Nigeria turns 60

Yahoo is bad because

  1. You might never discover who you are because you think all your intelligence is for cheating others and not for creating solutions
