The parable of the sower: A sower went to sow...

A sower went to sow.

Life is about sowing and reaping.

The parable of the sower

There are different kinds of seed to sow.

You can sow:

The word
  • Mercy
  • Acts of service
  • Love
  • Peace
  • Joy
  • Goodness
  • Alms
  • Lots more

“Listen then to what the parable of the sower means:

When you understand the parable of the sower, you get to understand every other scripture.

19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.

The message of the kingdom is the message that Jesus brings.

If one hears it and understands it, you own that which you understand. If one does not understand the word, then the enemy steals the word away from the heart of the hearer.

20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.

You can hear the word and receive it joyfully. This is important.

Persevering in your believing is also important.

21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

Trouble and persecution should not stop you from believing the word. When circumstances come to test the word of God that you have received, stay confident in the love that God has for you. God is pleased when you bear good fruit and has dispatched the Holy Spirit to help you believe the word. Receive the help of the Holy Spirit.

22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.

Hearing the word of God is important.

Winning against the worries of this life and deceitfulness of wealth is another key. The word of God will be unfruitful if you don't know how to protect your joy. Bin worry and practice thankfulness in God. Don't trust in riches and yet trust in the Lord to provide for you at all times.

23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

Good soil.

This is when you hear the word of God and understand it.

This is the kind of soil that produces a good crop, thirty, sixty or a hundredfold.

I pray that the Holy Spirit will assist you to bear fruit anything the word of God is sown in your heart in Jesus name, amen. That your heart would be good soil. That the Lord would make a way and break protocol for you in Jesus name, amen.

God bless you.
