God's Love: Our Total Dependence

God's love is our total dependence.

It is.

It should be.

Because it is a strong foundation you can lean on.

I know the things that I have suffered in the past when I tried to depend on eros, phileo and even stork.

None of them was able to be a strong enough foundation to rest on.

When I needed love I could rest on, lean on, and depend on, none of them was sturdy enough.

So God's love (agape) is our total dependence. I say this in absolute conviction and no apologies.

All the other loves seemed to be stable.

In fact they were all stable until a clash of interest appeared, as soon as they had something to lose or gain, the love became unstable.

It was only stable when there was nothing to lose or gain. It was inconsistent and not enough to depend on.

I have gotten over the betrayals.

Multiple betrayals.

But I was hiding from hurt again. God says, I have done enough hiding.

He is calling me to bear the fruit of long suffering again. I love the Holy Spirit enough to agree to bear His fruit again.

Like I was telling my sister this morning, anytime I read Galatians 5:22 and I was reading about the fruit of the spirit. I would quietly mutter "jump and pass" when I see long suffering.

I believed that I had suffered enough for this lifetime but God seems not to think so.

I love walking in the Spirit. So I willingly embrace God's call to bear fruit again. He loves it when I bear fruit.

I hope that when next you read Galations 5:22 you realise that you are not just studying but are being invited to bear the nine fruits of the Spirit.

Don't be afraid. You won't have to bear it on your own. You only bear fruit as you spend time in the presence of the Spirit and not by striving.

Remember the unforced rhythms of grace, yeah, that is it. That is how you will bear fruit.

Here's a youtube video to teach you how to walk in the Spirit:

Me too. Pray for me.

That I would cooperate with the Spirit of God and agree to bear the fruit that is already in me.

Shalom guys!

P.S I have so much to share with you. Next time.

#Till we meet next, remember you are loved.

Smile more.

From my heart to yours. You are deeply loved.
