I am writing as a novice.
I say this because so many amazing people have gone ahead of me when it comes to healing. One that I would mention is Kenneth Hagin, he's an amazing man of God and I believe that you should hear his testimony, it encouraged me greatly.
I believe this resource will be influential in your life.
Now, what do I know about healing?
Some of it is written below
All I know about healing comes from the bible, the Holy Spirit, and the ministers I have been opportune to seat under their teaching. Also, from personal experiences.
Through reading the bible, we know that all experiences are trumped by the word of God which is the final arbiter.
Healing and divine health teachings have rocked the world and will continue to do so as long as believers are ready to believe the word of God above the world system.
Here's my piece on healing.
As much as we have experienced many amazing things in God, we know that there is more in God and it is to that more that we press for daily. I hope this blesses your heart, I pray that the Holy Spirit will take this word after it gets in your heart and craft your own healing journey and that you will also get the chance to be used for God's glory.
HOW TO GET YOUR HEALING?
There are two ways of getting your healing biblically.
- The gift of healing
- The word of God
The gift of healing
This is when a believer has been endowed with one of the gifts from 1 Corinthians 12 and is working in it. If such a believer comes into your vicinity, you can get healed by asking for prayer.

Why does everyone not stay well and prosperous?
Different points of view
From a carnal point of view, we view the world as a place where we come to, are born, grow up, attend school, get married, get some accomplishment, and die at a ripe old age.
We view the world as if the spiritual realm does not exist.
How do you view the world?
Most people view the world outside the realm of God.
From a spiritual point of view, God made the earth and put Adam and Eve in there. He commanded them to be fruitful, multiply, subdue the earth, replenish it and have dominion.
Along came the devil to interrupt God’s plan for man.
Today the devil is still busy interrupting God’s plan for his people. What is God’s plan for you? It is still Genesis 1:28. You have the responsibility of interpreting this and living it out.
God’s plan for you is simply, it is Genesis 1:28
The plan of the enemy is simple, it is to kill, steal and destroy.
Part of the way the enemy fulfills his plan is by poverty, sickness, death, and devastation.
What is God’s plan for you?
It is Genesis 1:28 and He has not changed His mind.
When people fall ill, they do all they can humanly possible and then die.
When believers fall ill, they lay their hands on themselves and get better. Another option is to have hands laid on them and get better. Another option is to have the word taught to them and get better.
God’s original plan is not to have believers die because of anything that the devil did on earth.
Whether you are saved or unsaved, you can receive healing via laying of hand or prayer by the believer, any believer. This is God’s original plan.
How to get your healing via the word of God?
- Get saved
Believe that Jesus died, was buried, was resurrected by the Holy Spirit.
Then confess Him as Lord over your life.
- Get filled with the Holy Ghost
Ask a believer who is saved to lay hands on you so that you would be baptized in the Holy Ghost. Read your bible and ask the Lord to fill you with the Holy Ghost
- Start walking in the Spirit
Walk in the Spirit. Submit to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead you to come into conformation to the image of Christ.
Let Him help you get rid of malice, unforgiveness, envy, and every other negative emotion.
Read Galatians 5: 19-23
- Know God’s will for you
God’s will for the believer is that he prospers and remains in health as long as his soul is prospering.
A great way to prosper our soul is by renewing your mind to God’s word.
- Start feeding your spirit with God’s word daily
Read your bible daily. Read books, buy messages and listen to them. Listen to messages on YouTube.
I often read many of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s daily devotionals to renew my mind to God’s word daily.
- Build a circle of faith around you
Get around people of faith. A person of faith is someone that believes that the word of God says and does exactly what it says. Keep your circle tight.
WHAT TO DO IF THE SYMPTOMS COME BACK AFTER YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR HEALING
Kenneth Hagin experienced this through his life and ministry.
As He ministered the gospel, the devils would flee from him and he was instrumental in setting others free because he had learned to obey the devil.
One of the ways that he ensured that the devil of sickness did not come back was by walking in love. The power and the glory of God backed him in driving the devil away. It was the same power and glory of God that would keep the devil at bay.

One of the things that most people realize when this happens is that you can never go back to living ordinary life again.
God has imparted his life to you and it is by the life of God that you live.
When you get healed, it is time to rejoice and be glad. The devil was commanded to go and he went. Glory to God, the word of God works.
It is also a time to fortify yourself spiritually with the word and by speaking in tongues.
The bible says that the word of God is medicine.
What do you do with medicine?
Gloria Copeland recommends that you take your meds (the word of God) three times daily. The great thing about taking God’s word is that you cannot get an overdose.
SOME DOS AND DONTS
DOs
- Praise God daily. It is a weapon of warfare against the forces of darkness
- Be conscious that you belong to the kingdom of God and that heaven’s resources are available to you
- Give towards the advancement of God’s kingdom as the Holy Spirit leads you and commit some of your time to advance God’s kingdom too.
- I listen to a lot of Kenneth Hagin and the BVON (Believers Voice of Victory). It is called the Victory Channel on YouTube
- Build a circle of faith around yourself. Take counsel from people who believe in healing. I suggest that you follow The Believers Voice of Victory on YouTube.
- Speak in tongues daily and receive wisdom from God
- Sometimes wisdom will require you to stay in your house for six months with your baby like Elizabeth until her cousin Mary came to visit her
- Sometimes wisdom will require you to speak as the Holy Spirit is leading
- Commit to surrendering to the guidance of the Spirit of God. Know when to speak and when to keep quiet
- Study the heroes of faith in the bible. Read Hebrews 11 for a reference
- Worship and pray often
- Always check the fruit of people before associating or partnering with them.
- Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
- Listen to testimonies on Sid Roth on Youtube
- Getting healed will cause you to face some opposition, do not be surprised by it. Study your Bible so that you will always know how to respond.
- If your church does not believe in healing, prayerfully choose a church that does because of the word of God that gets into your heart daily matters.
DON'Ts
- Do not argue with those who do not believe in healing. There are many doctrines and belief systems in the body of Christ
- Walk in love and avoid strife. Respect other believers even if they don’t respect you back but do not allow them to make you a foot mat.
- Do not listen to doctrines against healing and divine health, what you listen to daily matters. Guard your heart with all diligence.
- Do not entertain myths and fables. Tune out the devil and tune in to God’s word.
- Avoid unforgiveness and malice
- Be tolerant of others, pursue
- Ask the Lord for wisdom. Pray all the time and build your secret place with God.
