One of the most important things to learn after getting your healing is how to keep it.
That is what today's episode is about. Learn to keep your healing. Share with friends and family.
HOW TO KEEP YOUR HEALING?
You only need to be healed once.
Yes, healing is possible. Learn how to be healed from my last post.
After you get your healing the first time, all you need to do is affirm that you are healed because the Lord keeps His word.
The most important thing to understand is that God hears you when you pray and He heard you the first time, He answered and He does not change His mind.
One of the most important things to remember is that the God who is faithful to heal you is faithful to keep you healed.
Keep trusting the Lord every day.
Now some scripture to back up this truth.
Study these scriptures repeatedly. When you have mastered them, you can go search the scripture for your own battle-ax.
Isaiah 59: 21
As for me, this is my covenant with them, said the LORD; my Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and forever.
Hebrews 11:3
Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Proverbs 9:10-11
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
Proverbs 18: 21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof
1 Peter 1:24
Who his own self bare our sins in His own body, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Romans 8:1
There is, therefore, no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Daniel 11:32
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt with flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
Remaining healed and walking in divine health is about knowing your identity in Christ.
My next post is about your identity in Christ. Let’s learn together and from the word of God learn and experience who God has made us who have chosen to be in God’s kingdom and to be a part of the army of God.
That sounds like so much fun.
I will write it sometime next week.
Let’s continue with How to remain healed and walk in divine health.
So what do you do after you are healed?
- Believe God
We are in Nigeria so I am going to say this loud and clear. You need to believe God more than you believe your village idols. You need to get rid of compromise. You need to believe that the Holy Spirit raised a dead Jesus from the dead.
Remember the 1st Century Christians did not have church buildings to protect. They only had their faith. Let your faith be more important than church doctrine and tradition.
Actually, put God first. Be practical in doing this.
- Read the word daily
There is no power apart from reading God’s word. The Spirit of God will use the word that is in your heart to give you a battle strategy. You need to know the word of God. Read it every day. Fill up your heart with the word of God by reading or hearing the word of God, you will need it.
The word of God has efficacy. Just like the blood of Jesus, the word of God has power. Today you can wield the word of God and use it to win the battles of life.
- Believe the word
Believe in the word of God. God’s word is true. Every other knowledge will bow down to the word of God. Every other report will bow down to the report of God if you will lift Jesus up.
Give God preeminence. Go with the word of God and the kingdom of God every time. Choose God over everything else.
- Think the word
Allow the word of God to dominate your thoughts.
There are so many thoughts that can flood your heart if you let them. Philippians 4:8 asks us to think noble thoughts and pure thoughts and praiseworthy thoughts.
Our thought life should align with the word of God. When it comes to thoughts, we can choose our thoughts if we are born again. Choose your thoughts. Guard your gates, what you see, what you hear, and what you say.
Yes, it is a disciplined life and discipline is painful. Discipline will benefit you if you will train for it. Submit your thought life to Holy Spirit. Let Him invade your thoughts with His thought and let you see things as He does.
- Do the word
Do what the word of God says. Surrender yourself to the word of God. The Holy Spirit will help you if you ask Him. Ask.
- Speak the word
Bridle your tongue. Do not allow your tongue to lead you to a place that the Lord is not leading you to.
The bible says, be slow to speak, quick to hear, and slow to wrath. Do more listening than speaking and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you how to use your tongue to glorify the Lord.
- Act in alignment with the word
Take a cue from the word of God to help you act right. Commit to acting in a manner that pleases the Lord. Consider the Lord before you carry out any actions.
Align with the word. Be compatible with the word of God.
- Stay under the right teaching
The right teaching matters. You need to be under anointed teaching. You need to be under the teaching of someone who knows where you are going or had been to where you are going.
You need someone who has the road map to the place that you are going to.
You have the Holy Ghost but you also need your tribe, people who have faith like you and are going and are called to the kind of place that you are going to even though it may not be the same.
- Stay under the right anointing
The Spirit of God is the anointing. If you stay under the right anointing, you will have the right environment to grow and become who God has called you to be. Sit under atmospheres that believe that the word of God can do the impossible and act like that in the public and in hidden places.
You will know it. You will have a knowing inside you when you get into the right place and the right spot.
- Follow the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the greatest counselor you can ever have.
Grow in hearing the voice of God. Know that God is with you and for you. Know that God wants to lead you into His purpose. Shut down the sounds of the earth and tune in to heaven.
Obey the instructions of the Spirit of God and follow the impressions that He gives you. The Holy Spirit is your partner. His ministry in your life is to help you be successful in the ministry that God has called you to.
- Renew your mind
The mind that you spent twenty-something, thirty-something, forty-something, fifty-something, etc. years building does not change all of a sudden. You are going to have to commit to renewing your mind daily to the word of God.
Change your thoughts. Choose the thoughts of God. The world has dominant thoughts. Drop those thoughts and pick up the thoughts of God. It will change your life.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewal of your mind so that you may approve the good, the acceptable, and the perfect will of God.
- Fellowship with people who believe God and His word completely
Fellowship with people who love the Lord and have purity, integrity, and power. Find the people that God leads you to. Praise, worship, and pray with people who are in alignment with you in words, thoughts, and actions and are not in compromise.
- You need your circle of faith
Keep your circle of faith.
These people will challenge you to grow. They are people that will expand you and help you become all that God has planned for you.
Choose them carefully. Choose them by the Spirit.
God says; let us know no man after the flesh. Always trust what the Spirit of God is telling you through the inward witness, impressions, or a knowing.
The Spirit of God wants you to win and He is your always-faithful coach who wants you to win.
Pray for your circle of faith. Pray for one another. Fellowship with one another. Support and expand God’s kingdom together every single day.
